Baltimore Consulting Group is working on behalf of a local authority in the South West/Wales in their search for an experienced Assistant Director Childrens Social Care focusing on the operational oversight of the service.
This is a full time working opportunity but there is the availability for some flexible working from home arrangements.

The Assistant Director Childrens Social Care has several direct line reports the role in the next 3-6 months will focus on safeguarding and quality assurance to deliver practice improvement across the service.

A broad knowledge across Childrens Services is needed for this post as well as a proven track record in partnership engagement and have ideally worked in a Good or Outstanding authority.

The Assistant Director Childrens Social Care will be the lead of social care decision making and as such you must hold a social care qualification.
Ideally you will be experienced in supporting services undergoing an improvement journey or period of transition and be be adept in change management.
