Development Project Manager

My client is a Local Authority in London who are looking to increase their housing development team and are looking for experienced Development/Regeneration Project Managers.

This role supports the organisation to deliver the affordable housing development programme and the arrangements for the provision of affordable housing in development and regeneration schemes, to meet the housing needs and aspirations of the community and contribute to the wider strategic objectives of the Council. The post holder will be required to work independently and as part of a team. They will contribute to the short and medium term planning of the service.

Key skills and Experience required:
  • Experience of managing housing development projects and housing led regeneration schemes.
  • Experience and track record of working successfully with a broad range of stakeholders and liaising with , influencing, key partners at a senior level
  • Experience and understanding of housing led regeneration programmes and projects, and the current challenges regarding delivery
  • Experience of managing budgets and resources
  • Ability to interact with and take on board, the views of local communities and residents
  • Ability to manage complex development and regeneration projects through the use of strong time management , and organisational skills and programme management
  • Authority and credibility to build relationships influence and engage successfully with colleagues, partners and clients at all levels in complex and politically sensitive situations
  • Experience of undertaking and managing resident consultation
  • Experience / knowledge of housing investment and development.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write and present high level reports and briefings
  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders and agencies (i.e. .Government, tenants, landlords , RPs) Members, senior managers and officers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision
