Policy and Strategy Manager

Baltimore consulting are supporting a busy council in a period of change by bringing in projects based and interim staff on a temporary basis to provide permanent and lasting solutions. The council have recently gone through a period of change and therefor looking to take on an interim Policy & Strategy Manager to oversee aspects of the council that have been affected by the change, restore harmonisation and be a key point of contact for smaller but crucial parts of the HR function.

You will be excepted to
-lead a team of HR Specialist in the right director to meet the objective set by the organisational development team.
-oversee a range of key strategic areas such as; employee wellbeing and reward, talent management and succession planning, as well as working with partners across the council.
-work to review and modernise the Council's people management policy framework, maintain legal compliance and support a modern and responsive working environment and culture.

You will work as part of the HROD Service and therefore be seen as part of the senior leadership team. It is for this reason my client has asked that only applicants with local authority experience will be considered for this role.
