£45,000 - £50,000 salary plus benefits

My client are looking for a dynamic and passionate person to join their Education remit as an SEND Manager in order to play a pivotal role in improving services across Special Educational Needs.
You will be responsible for the strategic transformation and development, commissioning and procurement of specialist provision for children and young people (0 to 25 years) with special educational needs and disabilities and to be responsible for the strategic framework for the delivery of relevant services and support to children, schools and families.

You will work towards key deliverables within statutory deadlines, ultimately adhering to statutory legislation such as SEN Code of Practice (2001) and Children and Families Acts (2014).

As SEND Manager you will be responsible for:
• Ensuring that the service takes a holistic approach to the EHC (Education, Health and Care) process
• Adhering to statutory compliance including statutory timescales.

You will provide strategic oversight of process inclusive of panel and aim to streamline services in order to promote positive outcomes and timeliness in respect of the SEND processes. You will also have responsibilities in respect of budgetary management and commissioning.

In order to be considered, candidates must hold:

• A proven track record of managing teams within a similar role/setting ideally SEND Services.
• Extensive knowledge of the Children and Families Act and the SEND Reforms.
• Long-standing experience of working across multiple disciplines, in particular, with education, health and social care.
• Experience of budgetary monitoring and strategic development.
